Andrew grew up with dreams of being an airline pilot, and can still tell, with 95% certainty, a plane’s destination by its logo, timing, and flight path at takeoff. But, in the years immediately following college, he found his true calling: when he identified his intensifying curiosity about the inner-workings of a rather close confidant, his father. Following a decade-long apprenticeship under Frank Sciame (founder & CEO of one of NYC’s most important and enduring Construction Management companies, Sciame Construction), Andrew and his wife, Kelly moved to the Palm Beach Area in 2014 to build the company f.k.a. Sciame Homes together. Now, with roots firmly planted in the community, a consistent growth mindset, and a keen understanding of how to service evolving demands with the ideal combination of cutting-edge processes and old-school, genuine relationship building, he’s successfully leading the company’s advancement into commercial builds and estate management services. When Andrew’s not working, you’re likely to see him actively out and about with Kelly and their four beautiful children—and if you do, don’t be shy about saying hello!

Jim is rarely the loudest voice on a construction site, and he’s never needed to be to earn trust from clients and peers. With a bachelor’s in construction management and over two decades of field experience, he’s honed a communication style based on setting and managing expectations while providing a consistent well of valuable updates that empower clients, peers, and subs to make informed decisions. It’s been a fruitful approach that has led to the successful completion of some of our most complex projects which brings Jim the same joy today as when he started out. Outside of work, you’ll most likely find Jim outdoors, playing sports, coaching his sons, or working through a DIY project.

Picture your favorite car: its unique lines, beautiful wheels, exhaust notes, and interiors. What you likely don’t see is the thing that makes it all go…the engine. At Sciame | Palm Beach, Josh is our engine. You might not observe him amidst the pace and volume of the rest of our team, but he’s the driving force behind our operational ceiling’s lofty heights. With a Bachelor’s in Accounting and Executive Dual Masters' in Forensic Accounting & Business Valuation, Josh cofounded a consulting firm to help business owners strengthen financial systems and operational structures. Fortunately, we convinced him to take on this role with us full time, and it’s among the best decisions we’ve ever made. Our opening analogy is particularly appropriate given Josh’s primary passions: cars & motorsports. In his off-time, you’ll often find him fighting for new PRs at racetracks around the country. And, perhaps it’s that consistent adrenaline rush that keeps him so level-headed no matter what’s thrown his way at the workplace.

John has spent his career making sure surprises never reach the field. He’s climbed numerous rungs of the industry ladder during his seven years in construction, including laborer, foreman, and assistant PM. His hands-on ascent shows up in the way he runs a job, speaking the languages of trades and management with equal fluency, which lets him bridge design intent and real-world execution without losing anything in translation. For John, exceptional construction isn't rescued at the finish line; it's built right from the start. Off the clock, he recharges by spending time with friends and family and traveling when the opportunity arises.

Where many invoke the words client-first as a customer-facing narrative box to check, Brandon has internalized it as a guiding principle. Now an Estate Manager with Sciame Group, Brandon continues to build on his 13 years of construction experience by being among our foremost “yes, and” enablers, encouraging clients, colleagues, and peers to bring any and all ideas to the table in service of creating the ideal experience for each client. Brandon remains a knowledge sponge outside of work hours and fills his cup by continuing to “figure it out”, regularly pursuing new DIY avocations to both expand his skill set and cement himself as the jack-of-all-trades he aspires to be. As for Brandon's true downtime—you'll usually find him enjoying the company of his family, a close-knit group that undoubtedly benefits from having an accomplished tinkerer around.

Ask Jay what separates exceptional construction from good, and he won’t cite complex data; he’ll tell you what every client hopes for, that “nothing feels off”. He arrived with five years of experience built at both a large NYC-based GC and a custom home builder. His ability to think like a client while accessing the knowledge of a high-end builder, is a key attribute that his peers and our partners appreciate about working with him. They describe him as unflappable and team-first, treating coordination as a group project rather than a baton pass. In his leisure time, Jay spends time with the loved ones who ensure he remains the same grounded guy both at and away from work.

Growing up playing team sports has formed a philosophy that JP has carried forward: “we win or we lose together.” Now, several years into his career, he and his teams just keep on winning. With an uncommon ego-free discipline to seek coaching and focus on each project’s common objective, JP is a consistent presence at his sites, building camaraderie and cohesion with partners and subs while carrying lessons from past projects to optimize every build. His favorite reward comes later: returning to a finished building knowing he helped put something lasting into the world. Off the clock, JP prioritizes spending time with his fiancée, his two nieces, and his broader family.

Margarita brings a rare and multifaceted perspective to high-end construction. Eight years as Project Architect honed her remarkable eye for the details, as she oversaw a wide range of projects, from schematic design through full-project coordination. Margarita then gained further design experience and a valuable understanding of owners’ perspectives as Design Manager and Owner’s Rep. Fortunately, we now get to marvel at how her daily contributions are clearly elevated by a unique background that leads her to approach each project with a mastery of design intent, constructability, and deep understanding of how the owner and end user will experience the completed property. Margarita is most particular about the coordination between architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, where small discrepancies can become field-sized problems. “Exceptional” construction, in her eyes, occurs when a team puts heart into the project, communicates clearly, leans on one another, and takes collective pride in the small details that often go unnoticed. Tristan Seuling came up to project management through his tool belt, and brings the practical fluency of a former carpenter and handyman to a role that benefits from real time spent at both ends of an estimate. Tristan favors a proven humble approach to complex projects: bring the right experts to the table, trust what they know, and never close the door on learning something new, all of which also highlights his commitment to open communication throughout every project. Frankie embodies all that Sciame | Palm Beaches stands for—he’ll tell you that delivering what’s on paper is fine, but not exceptional…and we don’t do “fine”. Formerly a property manager, Frankie is most passionate about “building towards alignment”, whether in the transition between indoor & outdoor spaces or in coordinating all trades throughout a project. Few things bring him more joy than admiring his properties’ transformations…but golfing, boating, and riding motorcycles and dirt bikes with his nephew are in the conversation!

Gil knows a thing or two about legacy. Generational devotion to his beloved New England Patriots aside, Gil cut his construction teeth on high-end builds as a teenager after joining his family’s stone fabrication business. Now a rising star with Sciame | Palm Beach, he doesn’t approach work as a series of tasks. Instead, he gives his all for “love of the game”. An enthusiast of finish-work details, Gil brightens when working with unique natural products that formed over millennia. Even with his deep knowledge of the space, Gil continues to gain the trust of clients and peers with his open-ears, egoless approach to providing solutions across a wide range of projects.

Genesis arrived in construction without a family trade or long-planned career path behind her, and has spent her four years in the industry demonstrating how that has not held her back. A revelation for us, she voluntarily transforms tedious tracking and reporting updates into clean, useful information that eases overall project coordination. This belies her superpower, advancing the “structure beneath the structure” to keep a project aligned long before anyone notices it had the opportunity to drift. An accomplished artist across disciplines and mathlete, Genesis paints, draws, writes, plays multiple instruments, and shares her talents by tutoring math and teaching music.

Jayden approaches his role like a systems architect. With several years in construction behind him, Jayden treats document control not as a back-office task but as the backbone of a well-run project, where Excel trackers, RFIs, submittals, and Word docs quietly prevent costly miscommunication before it takes root. Building and committing to systems that amplify organization and efficiency is how he empowers the natural clarity and cohesion that follows for the team and its partners. Jayden showcases a very rare combination of concise and thorough—direct and to the point, but never at the expense of the important details. When under pressure, his superpower shows up in the form of staying calm, clear, and decisive. Joe, a New York City transplant, spent almost 30 years on some of the industry’s most complex builds. Joe prides himself on his adaptable communication style to connect with, and motivate, each sub. Nearly 30 years in the trade watching homes rise from bare ground to a keys in an owner's hand has given Kurt a comprehensive knowledge of full “dirt-to-key” arc. So, fittingly, Kurt runs his sites with the calm authority of someone who's seen everything a job can throw his way. His approach to complex projects is straightforward and disciplined: document and schedule every scope of work, then hold the plan. Architects, designers, and owners appreciate his exceptional communication (clear, timely, unembellished) and the instinct for what's happening beneath a project’s surface before it’s visible. If all the moving parts on a construction site make your head spin, Stuart is the guy who will steady it for you. With a passion for fine finish millwork and skilled carpentry, Stuart had retired following 30 successful years in the business, but Sciame | Palm Beach lured him back to supervise some of our most complex job sites, knowing that his premier level of organization is a luxury we just had to offer to our clients. Jader has built across two countries, multiple industries, and over 15 years of complex projects, maintaining a standard throughout that defines his work at every turn: treat every build as a piece of art. A civil engineer by training, Jader founded and ran his own construction firm in Nicaragua, where he oversaw eco-tourism resorts and coastal residential communities from plans through completion before bringing that full-lifecycle perspective stateside through high-end residential work in New York and, now, with us in south Florida. Jader knows that every challenge has a solution, when informed imagination meets the determination of an aligned team. Joe Passaro is a third-generation general contractor, so construction was less a career choice than a birthright, as evidenced by the fact that he’s worked nearly every role across his years in the trade. Running his sites with an expert builder’s hierarchy, Joe’s focus begins with perfecting the structure, then the skin, followed by the MEP rough-in. The finishes, he says, take care of themselves after that. A true problem solver, perhaps the most telling comment we hear from the architects, designers, and owners on his jobs is that Joe never asks a question without bringing an answer. His self-described superpower is the ability to look at a set of drawings and see the finished building in 3D, finishes and all. With over forty years in construction, Mike has held nearly every seat at the table—general contractor, shell contractor, VP of Construction, project manager, and site super. He has answered to owners and clients, he’s run operations, and he’s managed teams from both office and field, bringing a full-spectrum perspective few in the industry can match. Mike will tell you that his experience has taught him that structural work is key—get that right and the rest of the build relies on the strength of your subcontractors and on-site supervision. His approach to complex projects is disciplined and old-school: study the plans, find the issues before they appear in a build, and work them out with the architects and engineers up front. His superpower, honed over decades, is scheduling subcontractors in the order and pace that keep a job flowing. Chris Rogers is a man of few words, which suits a 30+ year career spent almost entirely in the structural end of the business, known as shell construction—the discipline that raises the bones of a building before anyone else gets to work on it. He now brings his first-rate structural expertise to Sciame | Palm Beach, adding immense value to the team. And you’d be hard-pressed to find a more team-oriented super than Chris: when asked to name his own work superpower, Chris pointed to a colleague, his fellow superintendent Joe Passaro, in a nod that says as much about Chris as it does about Joe. When asked what brings him joy outside of work, his answer arrived with the characteristic honesty of a man who's earned it: not working.

Mike will tell you that, while the devil is in the details in the details, so is nirvana. He’s earned client and peer confidence over four decades of crafting and executing impeccably coordinated plans that ensure each moving part is well-tended. That adherence to the plan keeps Mike calm, patient, and described as a “dream” to work with, no matter the particulars of his varied projects. What do you get when you cross a professional surf photographer with a genial extrovert who has years of construction management training? That’d be our very own Mike Mortimer. Mike still works with a photographer’s sense of composition, alignment, and artistic sensibilities, and we’re lucky to have those disciplines featured in the work he does for us every day. Particular about centers to the sixteenth of an inch, Mike’s driven by a special level of care as he completes the artistic homes he’s helping build for each client. Architects, designers, and owners appreciate his clear sense of project ownership and, just as much, his superpower: delivering personable interactions and joy to the jobsite each and every day. Kevin found his calling over a decade ago, and following a year of exploration, he’s spent every one since building on his vocation with us, a tenure that tells you more about him than any superlative could. After moving to West Palm Beach from his native Los Angeles two decades ago, Kevin worked his share of odd jobs before finding his true fit. His ethic is straightforward and unshakeable: hard work builds character, and with enough of it, you can reach whatever you're chasing. That conviction shows up in every project, and he takes deep pride in knowing he’s helping form the backdrop of others’ lives. Off the clock, the backdrop, forefront, and everything in between of Kevin's world are his two daughters, and most of his free time is spent just being “Dad”.

Carsetta’s path to construction wasn’t linear, but her experience in hospitality has honed instincts that translate more naturally to this world than one might expect. Her time as a bartender and licensed esthetician have developed a gift for inspiring trust and calming heightened situations. In her view, exceptional construction doesn’t come solely from craftsmanship; it's in the respected, carefully tended relationships of the whole team. Eric has built a 20+ year career as brand marketer and creative strategist, having designed and produced dozens of successful brand campaigns with major media companies like ESPN, NY Magazine, and Vox Media, and for consumer brands like Starbucks, Google, GEICO, Zelle, and many more. A noted craft beer geek, he also built a successful beer travel company, and its entire marketing mix, out of a desire to share the hoppy cultures of America’s best cities with other craft beer lovers. Eric believes that success both in building brands and building properties starts with building trust with your audience during every possible interaction, and he’s immensely excited to tailor this approach for Sciame | Palm Beach. When OOO, Eric can often be found traveling, singing, and celebrating life’s sillier moments with his true loves—his wonderful wife and daughter—the latter of whom he’s successfully indoctrinated into the cult of Duke Basketball fandom.
